SYNOPSIS
As America fights for its independence from England, beautiful Betsy Loring struggles for her own freedom from a traitorous husband, who has sold her farm to support the invading British troops. Joining a small group of rebel spies, Betsy proves highly successful at enticing the British Commander-in-Chief, Lord William Howe, away from the battlefield. But when Howe’s love for Betsy saves her from being hung for treason, she becomes torn between her desire for Howe and her love of her country.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE SHOW
The Revolution of Betsy Loring was first developed at the Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop (now The Academy for New Musical Theater) in Hollywood.

THE TOMORROW PROJECT
In 2001, Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas, selected the musical for development under The Tomorrow Project. Producer Denton Yockey and Director Joel Ferrell produced a reading in January 2001 and fully developed workshop performances in April 2001, which garnered excellent reviews.
